We agree. Children definitely are our future.

Teaching life skills to students, AspenPointe is proud to team up with the non-profit “Partners for Healthy Choices,” the Manitou Springs school district, local government and non-profits to ensure the youth of Manitou are provided ample opportunity to succeed.
AspenPointe Peer Specialists Nicole Nicoletta and Vaughna Pelliccia are part of the student solution, working out of the Manitou Arts Center (MAC) near the downtown area. Services provided by our peer specialists include: life skills, career and development, conflict resolution, substance abuse education, and BrainWise (an analytical problem solving process).
Manitou Springs civic and school leaders prompted the early initiatives of the new AspenPointe student-focused assistance.  The Partners for Healthy Choices  team of Laurie Wood and Angela Gieck helped to turn concept into reality.  Wood is optimistic about the team assembled, saying, "All of the partners are working towards the common goal of enriching and expanding students' potential and opportunity for success."
AspenPointe could not do this alone. The like-minded vision with the MAC has enabled this youth-focused concept to become a reality. The MAC Executive Director Natalie Johnson shares these goals, "By partnering with the City of Manitou Springs, MSSD14/PHC and AspenPointe, the residents get the support they need, our community gets stronger and creativity is given an opportunity to thrive.  It is a win-win-win!  How can we resist such fantastic partnerships?"
Our peer specialists are already making an impact. After seeing a student, Nicoletta commented, “Upon leaving the office the other night our client said they couldn't believe how much better they felt after talking about their feelings. There was a visible change in the clients demeanor, calmer and seemingly relieved. In that moment I knew the OASIS office is right where it's supposed to be.”

The future starts now!
