Time:
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Event Details:

We hear about the tragedies that are occurring around the country in the news and social media. These events can happen to anyone in any community. Are you ready to help your friends, family, or co-workers? Stop the Bleed is a national campaign to bring awareness to teach basic actions to stop life-threatening bleeding. Everyone should be prepared to respond to help prevent deaths caused from blood loss. Penrose St. Francis Trauma Services is offering this valuable workshop to community members, faith communities/churches, businesses, EMS, fire departments, police departments, and schools. Participants will learn how to use bandages, tourniquets, and pack wounds to stop life-threatening bleeding. Participants must register for this event. Also, please note: there are also 1:30pm start times on Fridays, as well, for this one hour class. And that locations vary week to week between Penrose Pavilion (2312 N. Nevada) and St. Francis Medical Center (6001 E. Woodmen rd.)
