Pre-Bariatric Surgical Psychological Evaluation
Bariatric surgery has the potential to change your life! A good understanding of the surgical procedure, the outcomes, and the required lifestyle changes can really make a difference in your success. AspenPointe Counseling offers a thorough pre-surgical evaluation designed to help you fully understand bariatric surgery and identify potential challenges and solutions. Most patients remark that they find the evaluation to be very helpful, both before and after surgery.
We do this through a clinical interview and mental status assessment as well as the completion of a personality inventory called the MMPI-2.
Post Bariatric Surgery Counseling
We will partner with you on your post-surgery journey and provide:
- Individual counseling
- Group counseling
- Education: keeping current with bariatric information
- Information and referral options in the Colorado Springs area.

Eligibility Criteria:
Anyone who wishes to undergo Bariatric Surgery as a means of loosing weight and improving their health. The weight loss surgery is usually for those looking to lose in excess of 100lbs.

Self-pay only. Unfortunately third party insurance does not cover this service.
