Welcome to AspenPointe

Posted 08/16/2010

Today is a day that has been 135 years in the making for our institution.

On behalf of our board of directors and staff, our clients, our community partners – and all those served by our mission – we are very proud to welcome you to AspenPointe.

This new name consolidates more than 20 brands and creates a single identity for our 12 organizations. It was selected following consideration of more than 200 options and after positive market testing. It received unanimous support from our board of directors and executive staff.

AspenPointe pays homage to our heritage and Colorado location and positions us well for the 21st century. It is in line with our clients’ preferences and is greatly simplified from our previous organizational name.

“It reduces our clients’ and community’s confusion – while we would previously use an acronym (for brevity), we can now use our full corporate name,” said AspenPointe President and CEO Morris L. Roth. “It also helps differentiate us from nearly 400 other ‘Pikes Peak’ organizations.”

The new name will be used among our member organizations. Through greater repetition, we will strengthen our identity, while conveying our organizations’ connection and common purpose.

The organization and program naming convention is as follows:

§         Pikes Peak Behavioral Health Group AspenPointe Inc.

§         Pikes Peak Mental Health   AspenPointe Health Services

§         Pikes Peak Foundation for Mental Health   AspenPointe Foundation

§         Pikes Peak Mental Health Medicaid LLC   AspenPointe Medicaid LLC

§         Pikes Peak Mental Health Select Services, Inc.    AspenPointe Properties

§         Aspen Diversified Industries   AspenPointe Employment

§         Aspen Diversified Industries Services   AspenPointe Enterprises

§         Workout, Ltd.   AspenPointe Youth Directions

§         Connect Care AspenPointe Health Network

§         ProCare  AspenPointe TeleCare LLC

§         Colorado Counseling Network, Inc. AspenPointe Management Inc.

§         Coal Construction  AspenPointe Builders LLC

§         Café Moreno* – AspenPointe Café

“While our member organizations’ names have changed, our organizational structure largely remains the same. This allows us to retain separate legal entities for contractual purposes while building a single brand,” Roth said.

It is important to note, Roth said, that the new name is merely the most-visible part of a multi-year branding initiative. We have instituted – or are in the process of launching – some 30 major projects to improve client care, access and satisfaction, integration of services, employee engagement, and community relevance.

“And, perhaps most significantly, through this process and for the first time, we have identified the common thread that connects our many organizations: Empowering clients. Enriching lives. Embracing purpose,” Roth said.

We invite you to learn more about our re-branding effort by reading our Q&A document. Please share your questions with us at info@AspenPointe.org.

Since 1875...

AspenPointe has empowered clients, enriched lives and embraced purpose through behavioral health services, counseling services, career services, substance abuse treatment, employment, education, housing, jail diversion/reintegration and care management.

One of the largest nonprofits in Colorado Springs, AspenPointe traces its roots back to 1875 when we were called the Springs Relief Society. That organization, which delivered coal, lumber and clothing to the needy, was the genesis of what today is a comprehensive and integrated system of care that addresses the overall wellness of each client whether they need behavioral health services, counseling services or career services.

We have 12 organizations that serve more than 30,000 individuals and families each year through behavioral health services, counseling services, career services, education, housing, jail diversion/reintegration, telephonic wellness and care management.

We collaborate with clergy, educators, employers, other health and human service agencies, the legal/criminal justice system, other behavioral health providers, insurers, and many other organizations to leverage our collective resources in order to better our communities and the lives of its residents.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded largely by Medicaid, state and federal grants, local government contracts, and generous donations.
