'Touching Lives,' AspenPointe’s Annual Report, Serves as Launching 'Pad' for AspenPointe App

Posted 01/31/2012

AspenPointe’s 2011 annual report is now available per request and at many of its Colorado Springs facilities.

Titled “Touching Lives,” the report highlights some of the organization’s successes this past year and – more importantly – our clients’ empowering stories of healing and recovery.

President & CEO Morris L. Roth introduces the theme of the report this year designed to look like a tablet.

Roth writes: "AspenPointe has undergone numerous changes in the previous year designed to better touch the lives of our clients and make our services more accessible. Whether someone needs help with depression, finding a job, furthering his or her education, or managing physical health conditions, we continue to raise the bar to meet the evolving and changing needs in this day of 24-hour connection.
But are we accessible enough? Can we better utilize the latest in technology to further our mission of empowering clients, enriching lives and embracing purpose? Well, there might just be an app for that."

The report serves as an official announcement of AspenPointe's strategic goal to launch an app to help clients better navigate services and offer assistance in their wellness efforts. The app is expected to be released by summer.

An electronic version of the report can be downloaded here. A print copy can be requested by calling (719) 572-6100 .

The 2009 and 2010 report received numerous awards in the prestigious and worldwide Vision Awards competition.

Since 1875...

AspenPointe has empowered clients, enriched lives and embraced purpose through behavioral health services, counseling services, career services, substance abuse treatment, employment, education, housing, jail diversion/reintegration and care management.

One of the largest nonprofits in Colorado Springs, AspenPointe traces its roots back to 1875 when we were called the Springs Relief Society. That organization, which delivered coal, lumber and clothing to the needy, was the genesis of what today is a comprehensive and integrated system of care that addresses the overall wellness of each client whether they need behavioral health services, counseling services or career services.

We have 12 organizations that serve more than 30,000 individuals and families each year through behavioral health services, counseling services, career services, education, housing, jail diversion/reintegration, telephonic wellness and care management.

We collaborate with clergy, educators, employers, other health and human service agencies, the legal/criminal justice system, other behavioral health providers, insurers, and many other organizations to leverage our collective resources in order to better our communities and the lives of its residents.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded largely by Medicaid, state and federal grants, local government contracts, and generous donations.
