Education & Training

Education and Training are important allies in the fight against poverty, unemployment and homelessness.

Our Education and Training Programs are designed to provide individualized services so that youth and adults can work towards achieving their academic and career goals. Our services help facilitate independence by increasing their confidence and academic skills. Most services are offered in small group settings, however one on one is available when requested.

Career Education Program
 

GED Preparation Training
Self paced, individualized services to enhance an individual's ability to obtain their GED.

GED Testing
AspenPointe has a State approved testing site that is flexible and convenient for students to complete their GED test.

Education Tutoring
Individual one-on-one assessments and support are used to help build educational foundations to ensure success and are provided by a Licensed Colorado Department of Education Teacher.

Post-Secondary Training
Individuals may lack the skills in identifying resources, programs, financial assistance etc. to successfully enroll in an appropriate post-secondary program.

Education Services
Our Education Program is designed to provide individualized services so that youth and adults can work towards achieving thier acadmic goals.

Military Services / Peer Navigator
We offer veterans and their families an individual peer navigator who helps them plot a course through the sometimes overwhelming challenges of day-to-day life and the numerous, complex systems available to support them.

Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is a groundbreaking public education program that helps the public identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

Career & Development
Some 90 percent of mentally disabled individuals do not work, yet research suggests more than 75 percent of these potential employees have both the desire and ability to work.

Youth Services
AspenPointe Youth Services utilizes restorative practices and provides opportunities for youth to take accountability, learn from their decisions, and develop the necessary skills to become contributing members of their community.

myStrength Tools
AspenPointe has partnered with myStrength™ to offer a range of resources to improve mental health and overall well-being. myStrength offers personalized eLearning programs to help overcome depression and anxiety supported by simple tools, weekly exercises, and daily inspiration in a safe and confidential environment

AspenPointe has empowered clients, enriched lives and embraced purpose through behavioral health services, counseling services, career services, substance abuse treatment, employment, education, housing, jail diversion/reintegration and care management.

One of the largest nonprofits in Colorado Springs, AspenPointe traces its roots back to 1875 when we were called the Springs Relief Society. That organization, which delivered coal, lumber and clothing to the needy, was the genesis of what today is a comprehensive and integrated system of care that addresses the overall wellness of each client whether they need behavioral health services, counseling services or career services.

We have 12 organizations that serve more than 30,000 individuals and families each year through behavioral health services, counseling services, career services, education, housing, jail diversion/reintegration, telephonic wellness and care management.

We collaborate with clergy, educators, employers, other health and human service agencies, the legal/criminal justice system, other behavioral health providers, insurers, and many other organizations to leverage our collective resources in order to better our communities and the lives of its residents.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded largely by Medicaid, state and federal grants, local government contracts, and generous donations.
